I think the answer is obvious, it came from the Jewish faith. Jesus was Jewish after all.[/quote] As was Paul, who is largely responsible for what we know as Christianity today. Over opposition of Peter and the original disciples, he took the faith to the gentiles. I've also read he alone is responsible for the belief that one only gets into heaven by grace and not by being a good person.[/quote]
