Weirdest thread I've read here - I grew up East of DTLA, lived in Los Feliz for years, lived in Westwood for years and now live in the valley (for years). 1. The valley IS Los Angeles 2. People who visit here for a week don't know their ass from their elbow 3. People who live here and fight about who's neighborhood is better or more LA… I question if you are actually born and raised here 4. The only sign I've ever put in my front yard was a *gasp* 6th grade graduation sign that DC's school sent to all of the kids this time last year Yeah it's dry here, welcome to obvious-ville. We have droughts and fires in the summer and mudslides (IF it rains - this last winter it rained for maybe a week combined when the world first shut down and that was it) in the winter. I'll take it over living anywhere else in the world, I love my home.
100%… I grew up West LA but have lived/worked all over the county (plus OC and a bit of Ventura)… been in DC for a few years but really looking for an opportunity to move back. Most of what I’ve read on this thread sounds like people trying to reinforce preconceived notions based on limited experience/ knowledge, which is fine if that’s your thing I guess, but doesn’t make your opinions terribly tethered to reality.
