OMG thank you for this.  I have been distressed about a friend spending loads of $$$ to get her daughter pledged into a sorority...mainly investment in clothing, makeup, and hair.  Yuck.[/quote]

They’re actually not any prettier than girls anywhere else. It’s all pageant style spray tans, hair bleach, and caked on makeup. They learn from an early age to put that look together and they know they won’t get into a sorority if they don’t look like that in every high school pic on Instagram and onward. If you take all that off, they’re just a bunch of normal white girls, and the uniform look they try to create and exclude any diversity to attain is actually pretty gross when you think about it.
