Evie is kind of grown-up. Reminds me of a stripper name. I don't like it. Personally, I think OP should stop with this nickname madness and just name her the nickname (Lina) or find a full name she likes. Evie is a stripper name? Bizarre take. I actually like Evie (slight preference for the pronunciation eh-vee, versus ee-vee, but I like them both). I know a little girl named Evangeline who goes by Eva (pronounced ee-vah) which is also nice.

My main issue with Evangelina is that it's another "E" name and I would avoid those altogether at this point (definitely avoid Eleanor and other Ellie names, but also the Emma/Emily grouping and the Evelyn/Evangeline group as well, plus the classic Elizabeth and many of it's derivations). Too many E names! Let's give that initial a break for girls for a while.[/quote]

I'm a more unusual E name and I agree! Let E have a rest for a while. Evangelina is just really long and all the other names (Eleanor, Ella, Emily, Emma) are just tired and overused.[/quote]
