Tran’s bill would have removed the phrase “substantially and irredeemably” when it comes to defining the risk to the mother mother, would have required one physician to certify the need for termination instead of three, and would have allowed second-trimester abortions to be performed in a clinic instead of a hospital. During a hearing on the bull she misspoke in response to a question about whether her bill would allow termination while a woman was in labor. She later clarified that her bill would not allow an abortion in case, and labor would proceed through delivery.[/quote]
