Younkin wants to bad teaching that slavery was bad and ban teaching that it had any long term consequences for the families of slaves. How is he not the one inciting racial hatred and making it about identity politics???[/quote]

Thankfully McAuliffe said tonight that he will diversify teachers from 80% white to 50% white and 50% people of color.  He will offer full rides to college for POC who commit to teaching for five years in Virginia.   They will be able to provide the lived experience of the long term consequences of a slave ancestry.  I suppose for the Hispanic students it will be their ancestor’s experience of immigrating to the States.  For the Asian students it will be their ancestor’s experience in getting into competitive US graduate schools.  [/quote]
