The main gal, Shiv, grosses me out. She's repulsive physically made worse that they try to frame her like some irresistibly sexy man-eater. Plus her personality is spoiled layabout dipshit who's never had a job in her life, yet we're to believe she's being groomed to become the CEO of $25bn media conglomerate?
Welcome to late stage capitalism. This is literally happening in many of America's most important companies. The companies that are smart groom professional managers from outside the family so the heirs don't sink the boat for successive generations. This is why Roystar will ultimately fail - the patriarch can't give up power, even to his own kids. He has to remain in control, he meddles in his kids' lives, he plays them like chess pieces. Everything will fall apart. Reminds me so much of Rupert Murdoch. I will be shocked if his company survives his death. More likely it will get spun off, sold, and vulture'd by outsiders.
