Uh, you seem to be living in your own little world.  Most police will probably let 5-10 mph slide.  But you go ahead and see if they also agree that going 25-30 mph over the limit is just a matter of personal preference.[/quote]

Wow, do all of you realize you're proving the point?  You think your 5, 8, 10 MPH over the limit is okay but someone else's 7, 10, 12 over is not.  How can you possibly be so lacking in self awareness?   (Or maybe you're just being sarcastic and my detector is off tonight.)

My 17 YO isn't particularly comfortable driving at highway speeds yet so would prefer to go 50 on the interstate even with little traffic.  Should she camp in the left lane because anyone going faster is reckless?  They are in her view.

And let's not even get started on the people who just randomly change lanes to the left with no car in front of them.[/quote]
