OP, what you don't seem to understand is that you don't set the rules for Christians. There are millions of Christians in the US and almost that many ways of being Christian. There are many Christians who take Jesus's name in vain (and God's, too-- and its interesting that you seem to think Jesus is more important than God; not all Christians would agree with you), and doing so is in no way an indication of atheism. Further, for millions of Americans, there is hierarchy of curse words, and "Jesus" and "damn" are definitely considered more benign and less offensive in general company than "shit" or "f*ck". You personally might feel differently, but again, you don't set the cultural standards.[/quote]
