It would have only taken the Whitman student a second to start stabbing bystanders including those stepping in to help the girl he attacked. It doesn’t take much for violent acts to spiral to the point people who don’t know the perpetrator get hurt. What would have Churchill done had the Whitman student pulled out a gun? What if he went to his car for a gun? Or drove home for a gun? This was a huge wake up call that Mr. Taylor and MCPS should take seriously.
