Lower earning men are less likely to marry. Men Are Now More Likely to Be Single Than Women. It's Not a Good Sign https://time.com/6104105/more-single-men-than-women/
How can there be more single men than women? Lesbian marriages? Poly harems? Or do they mean more never married men than women?
There’s already a few % more men than women born, just down to biology. Even though women outnumber men overall, this is only because of the excess number of older women. In the younger bracket (18-40) men outnumber women. You also have to factor in that women in their 20’s and 30’s will regularly marry men 5-10 years older than they are and generally have way more options. Both young and old men want to date/marry young women, while only young women will date/marry young men. So young men have to compete with older men for the same mates.
