We’ve been in Rehoboth, and I’ve found it less crowded this week than in past years. The staffing issues seem really bad, though.
My college aged son has 12 HS friends working/living in OC this year (all together in one house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms!!) because jobs are plentiful and they can make so much. They are working as waiters, bouncers, and a couple enterprising ones as apprentices to HVAC people. I admire their initiative, though I’m horrified by the sounds of their living conditions, not that the Eastern European teens ever had decent housing either.
I paid $500 a month in 1996 to live like this. 12 girls 6 bedrooms and 2 baths. Amazingly, the only time it was a problem was graduation day. We would’ve been fine in bunk beds and fewer bedrooms.
