[/quote] +1 rice is not a problem if you also eat healthy and move, a lot. Unlike Americans, most people in Asia walk a lot. Car ownership is for the wealthier people. They also eat a lot of vegetables, and used to eat a lot more fish. Red meat was a luxury. Having stated that, the influx of the western diet has hit many parts of Asia, and they are seeing an increase in obesity. Rice is not the problem. Western lifestyle is.[/quote]
