A quality builder knows when (specific stages of construction) to micromanage the subs and stages to let them work as work can be inspected and/or corrected later.  Foundation planning, sub soil prep, layout to include config, window/door openings, scheduling (avoid pour on bad weather days) and ensuring all is LEVEL is perhaps the most critical milestone.  Good builders are onsite for this type of work - can’t leave this to subs no matter how trusted they may be.  Too much fluctuation with the labor.  If you get this piece wrong, there will be pain going all the way to the roof.  [/quote]
