They must be doing something right over there. [/quote] They got permission from FCPS several years ago to make IB English the default English class for 11th and 12th graders. It brings up the college readiness component of the US News ratings. Other high schools are required by FCPS to let students choose among regular, Honors, or AP/IB English. The charitable interpretation would be they want to challenge their students; the less charitable interpretation would be they are chasing US News ratings. Madison still has higher SAT scores.
