Here is my take on all of the members: Jin - least talented member of the group. very handsome and does improve the visual of the group. straight. Suga - very talented rapper. clearly has musical talent. either bi or straight. J Hope - best dancer. not a great rapper. gay. RM - smartest. good rapper. I don't see him having a successful solo career. can't tell if he's straight or gay. I would guess that he's gay. Jimin - obviously gay. amazing dancer. good singer. has a shot at a solo career. V - best looking. has an X factor. Very unintelligent. straight. Jungkook - best chance at a solo career. straight.
NP and I've only been watching them for a short time but this analysis is interesting. I disagree about RM though- I think he is the most straight of them all! Also I agree with a PP that it's quite remarkable how all of them come across as really innocent (don't know if that's the correct term, more like naive? not age-appropriately jaded?lol) but I wonder if their acts are curated on all of their videos as well.
No, they are not innocent by any means. A couple of them are pushing 30. There are blind items about them doing cocaine, having threesomes, etc. Not to judge them or anything, but I think there is a carefully crafted image of these 7 friends (notice there are never any girlfriends) who perfectly attract the tween/teen audience they want.
Now that would actually surprise me. Illegal drug use is a third rail of K-pop. That and goofing off during your military service (for male idols) are the big career killers. It’s hard to come back from a drug scandal because the public loses trust and respect for you, and the Korean public is bug f*** insane, like 1000x worse than the American public when it comes to celebs. And the media uses celeb controversies and scandals to deflect from actual important government scandals.
