Recommendations on where to get a quick test for infants/young toddlers? Our pediatrician does not do testing, so we’ve had our one year old tested in the ER (6 hour visit, but she was actually sick with a cough) and urgent care (90 minutes for a runny nose). The testing site near us won’t test toddlers. I call my pediatrician for advice on whether or not to go to urgent care for a test, but would go more regularly for runny noses if it was as easy as going to the pediatrician instead of an ordeal with urgent care waiting rooms.
That is terrible. Our pediatrician in NoVa now does a rapid and a PCR test simultaneously (since January). They won't test without symptoms or exposure. We haven't had to use it yet but I'm so glad the option is there now.
