The first thing I saw was the nurse, sleeping, in a chair. I turned to my father and watched him take his last breath.

I truly believe my father waited for “Mary” to leave before he passed but didn’t expect the bond between us to wake me up.  It was the most eerie thing that ever happened to me but it was also one of the most blessed.
