Posters an attack OP and call her names but unless you experienced having a gorgeous sibling when you’re just average won’t get it. My younger sister is stunningly beautiful and always was. I can’t begin to tell you how hurtful it was to me to constantly hear how beautiful she was and then hear nothing about me. Please stop people from making comments like that for both of your children’s sake.
Hey me too! And I am not ugly at all! Sister looks like Michelle Pfeifer/Meg Ryan(from better days) cross, but maybe even more beautiful than them. I am not even joking. Had violet eyes till 8 years old! She is a warmer beauty than Pfeifer and less cute than Ryan, but more stunning. I have brown eyes and hair, and was a bit chubby as a young kid, which stuck with me even when I was skinny! By 3rd grade I was skinny, yet, I was always the good eater, and sister was a beauty! I love my younger sister, and it was never her, in fact, she is insecure, but that doesn't meant that thoughtless adults praising her did not cause me plenty of damage. I only recently paused and after a friend's sister complimented my eyes, I looked at them. Green around and yellow around the pupil, my eyes are actually pretty beautiful. Nobody, including me, ever stopped and looked at me, not really. Well, apart DH. Mom to this day gushes about my sister and her beauty. Don't know how you navigate this OP, but while it is not the worst thing ever, try to make sure that you do not praise one child over the other.
