So tell us, is ecnl coaching really that much better than " regular" travel coaching or the next level down
No not at BRYC . In fact many of the better coaches won’t coach ecnl because of the travel and commitment. Financially it’s not worth it to them.
Please do tell. Who are these non-ECNL coaches at BRYC? Are you referring to the parent coaches in the rec NCSL league?
BN for one, But its the same at all of the ECNL clubs not just BRYC. 99% of NCSL coaches are paid licensed coaches. As for the rec comment Quite a few NCSL teams are better than the local ECNL teams of the same age especially on the boys side.
BN has no actual playing experience. That's the most likely reason why he doesn't coach ECNL.
Either that or he coaches u9-u12 and ECNL starts at u13.
He may not have as much playing experience as some of the other coaches here. He has2 DDs that played D1. My DS played for him for u9 and u10. We now play ECNL and I will tell you BN is a much better coach than anyone of the coaches we been given since him. JS, AF, CJ, none have helped my DS get better like BN.
You didnt exactly disprove the U9-U12 part. The skillset to coach U9’s is very different than coaching U17’s. It sounds like he has found the right fit but that doesnt mean he would be a good ECNL coach or a good coach for older kids.
I do know that he is much better then our current ECNL coach. I just wish weren't in too deep in here. Its too late in the gameto jump to SYC or Mclean for my DS
Again, no you don't know that he would be better. A good 2nd grade teacher may not make a good middle or high school teacher. And there is nothing wrong with that. Frankly, if a coach is very good at reaching younger kids and keeping them motivated, happy and learning then that coach is the perfect spot.
Ok well I can tell you from first hand experience. The spiral began once AF was handed over our team. Now that CJ is coaching us its gotten worse. Pretentious egos and lack of respect for both players and parents. uuugggg it makes me sick.
Two things are possible: 1. Your ECNL coach is not very good. 2. Your former U11-12 coach would also not be a very good 11v11 coach.
Everything you hear coming out of that club is unhappy after unhappy families. Why do you stick around ? What haven't the coaches told you not to post on this board ?
