Only if your point of view is to the right of William F. Buckley. He's a mainstream Democratic Party/Obama administration guy, and if you consider him unacceptably far to the left, then you don't vote for many Democrats, or possibly any Democrats at all.[/quote]

I'm honestly baffled. Perez served two four-year terms in the Obama administration (as assistant attorney general for civil rights in DOJ, and as secretary of labor, respectively), followed by one four-year term as chairman of the Democratic National Committee. If that's not mainstream Democratic, nothing is.[/quote]
