They have no expertise and no training, either in running a school district nor in public health. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing. None of them have even held public office before and not to sound sexist but I don't think the women even have real other jobs (this is a part time job.) Also very few of them even have children in the system.

Presumably voters are choosing someone they think has relevant experience and can make good decisions. Versus choosing someone at random. The problem is that so few people run for these postions they are often literally unopposed or essentially unopposed. I'm in Reaser's district. She has no particular qualifications and her child goes to TJ. But my only alternative to voting for her was a RWNJ whose main platform was school vouchers for religious school. So it wasn't much of a choice. [/quote]
