Go to resale sights such as the Real Real, Fashionphile etc.. check out the prices of used Cartier love bracelets! They hold 90% of their value. Tennis bracelets are so out of style btw. I now only ask for jewelry that are investments such as Chanel, LV, Cartier, Rolex(unmodified). My DH has given me $5000 no name brand diamond bracelets and 2 modified Rolex’s that do not hold their value. The biggest bust was when he gave me a pr of 4ct diamond studs he paid 22k from a seller on some random website that totally lied about the quality. The sec I opened the box I knew they were not the quality described. The only C that was correct was the carot weight. When I questioned the quality and wanted to return them my DH immediately said I was being a negative nelly and that they were fine so I didn’t push the issue. Fyi it was very early in our relationship so I had to be sweet still. Later when I took them to get an appraisal and showed the jeweler the appraisal that came with them, he said it was a bogus appraisal he never even heard of. I could’ve gotten 4 used Cartier love bracelets! Luckily he also gave me an unmodified Rolex and Patek Philippe watch that will hold their value. Cartier love bracelets are by far the best investments and get the highest return. I also ask for investment handbags that hold 90% of their value. I’ve done a lot of research on this and I know that if I ever need to sell things I won’t take the gas pipe. The ONLY jewelry that are investments are designer jewelry. “Flawless” diamonds over a carot are good investments as well.
