Yes! This is it, exactly. It is wonderful that some kids are thriving with DL, and perhaps this experience will lead to more virtual learning options in non-pandemic times. However, that does not change the fact that in person learning is and should be the norm. [b]We can debate the conditions for return and whether sufficient mitigation is in place, [/b]but DL should not continue for all students simply because it works for some. [/quote]

Read what I wrote. I'm not talking about whether it is safe to return now. That is is subject to debate, using the health metrics, which I 100% agree do not warrant returning to in person learning, as well as the ability to have mitigation measures in place.  Whether certain people like DL should not be a part of that decision, because the ultimate goal, when it is determined to be safe enough to return, is to get kids back in the buildings. [/quote]
