I love dL because I save gas and spend time with the fam. Roast me?
My husband likes teaching DL but he’s not advocating against school opening and will go back to teach when schools open. I don’t think anyone cares if you like it as long as you’re not holding students back from receiving in person instruction.
Yes! This is it, exactly. It is wonderful that some kids are thriving with DL, and perhaps this experience will lead to more virtual learning options in non-pandemic times. However, that does not change the fact that in person learning is and should be the norm. We can debate the conditions for return and whether sufficient mitigation is in place, but DL should not continue for all students simply because it works for some.
Are current conditions of 340/100,000 and 9.7% bad enough or do we need to wait until ICUs are at capacity? Enlighten us Nietszche
Read what I wrote. I'm not talking about whether it is safe to return now. That is is subject to debate, using the health metrics, which I 100% agree do not warrant returning to in person learning, as well as the ability to have mitigation measures in place. Whether certain people like DL should not be a part of that decision, because the ultimate goal, when it is determined to be safe enough to return, is to get kids back in the buildings.
