Hearing of more cases hitting this club currently.
Multiple coaches/trainers tested positive. Emails were sent immediately. Pipeline has been responsible during the entire Pandemic. Moving along.
Nope. Some of the coaches who tested positive coach multiple teams. One team was told; the others were not or not until later. But again, that's the point of this whole thread. You didn't know about any of this, because there trying to sweep it under the rug. If you're at Pipeline, then you probably know that the team chat was disabled on the girls TeamSnaps since the beginning of the season. Big Brother much?
What is your major malfunction?!?!? TeamSnap chat was disabled because of two teams that had issues with parents, calling out other kids and parents and such. Had absolutely nothing to do with CoVid!?!?!? I'll admit, that's not exactly a good look but at least it's not trying to cover up CoVid. Please stop trying to start rumors. Please!
Agreed. The point was not that the two were directly related but that this is part of the culture fo this organization
Pipeline parent. The culture is toxic but again for the 100th time, there is no covid coverup. The culture is also toxic at many other clubs so I am sure we could have the same conversation about many of the clubs in the DMV area. Youth soccer has gone off the rails.
Agree on youth soccer going off the rails! I'm interested to know how the culture there is toxic. As a parent in the club can you give some actual examples? My DD was interested in playing there in the coming years as a couple of her friends have migrated. We have issues at our club but I would not say the problem is club wide. Usually it is an obnoxious parent/kid or two on a team here or there that act like complete idiots and create issues on a team that have to be addressed by club administration. Most get pissed by the club operators not dealing with the issue more effectively.
I have a boy who has played for Pipeline for four years, most of his teammates have been with Pipeline same amount of time or longer. The atmosphere in his age group is far from toxic as can be seen by how few kids leave. He also played for another local club that was a total shitshow, and I believe to be behind most of these unfounded Pipeline rumors, because that’s the kind of people running that club. Pipeline also has much more consistency among its coaching staff than other local clubs, with very little change over the time we have been there. My other child also plays a club sport not soccer but has friends on Pipeline 2004 and 2005 teams. Her friends are happy with the club as well. I have been personally really happy with management of the club. They make improvements in response to parent criticisms from year to year. Every year, the facilities improve for all teams, not just the encl teams. In your shoes, I would talk to people you know irl about Pipeline, as there is a concerted effort by a rival club to start untrue rumors about them on dcum.
