Yep, I knew that private schools would have to shut down this year and that’s why I waited until now to apply to private school for my daughter. I figure my $50,000 tuition bill will be worth it next year! She’ll get intensive, in person school at a top private school which will help her to catch up academically from distance learning at our local public school. And I don’t have to waste my 50 grand on distance learning at private school. That’s priceless in my opinion.
+1000 We are also starting private school next year. I knew this year would be a wash out with distance learning at either public or private school, so we’re saving our money for next year when we can do in person private school! Supplementing with a tutor until he starts in the fall.
I hope you are applying for kindergarten because if not, good luck getting a spot. Most of the private schools are filled with sibling waitlists too. Your public school kid may be significantly behind this year while the rest of the kids in private schools won't be. Catch your child up on your own time this year because private school admissions won't want to put that onto their teachers next year when there are kids to admit which aren't behind.
