Any school is now required to have alternate activities for students who are not allowed to participate in the Halloween party. It's not like that for Valentine's Day.
I think there should be alternate activities for Valentines Day. All this same sex marriage talk is coming from the early years when same gender children exchange valentine cards. Ground Hog's Day is another BIG problem. Humans are on the top of the food chain and should not be making predictions based on the actions of a lessor varmit species. St Patrick Day's is a celebration of alcohol which in this age of addiction and poor self control is the wrong message to send. Don't get me started on the evil little leprechauns that wantonly violate no shoe rules leaving footprints around. These holidays have all become excuses for fat people to buy super sized cupcakes with a pound of frosting in the hopes of making your kids fat like them.
