Yes I do believe my dog dying can be compared as a major loss and worse then someone grieving over a human that they are [b]not close to. I should not have to take vacation hours to take my dog to the vet if someone is leaving the office to take a kid to the Dr (a few times a year) and not using hours. Having a dog is a hobby and not an equivalent to having a human family member to care for. Anyone who wants to attend to their hobby on work hours absolutely should be taking vacation time. [/quote]
