Thank to those who offered a reasonable alternative--pay $800 for 1 semester (3 months) to drop off the 2 kids age 10 and 11 for 15 minutes early so I can race across town to my older kid's school and then race over to work. And yes having three kids--I should be penalized this way. Everyone should have one child and walk to school everyday or suffer the consequences. That is reasonable. Thank you.
Actually - the reasonable alternative is have your kids walk for 15 minutes. Problem solved. And they won't end up obese.
Haha. You have no knowledge of how far away I live or my kids level of activity--they are not remotely obese. The grand assumptions that responders are making to this post are incredibly elitist. Carry on. I know you all feel quite superior to everyone in your lives probably because you waddle up that hill every day in your capri pants having teaching moments with your special snowflakes all along the way. You are insufferable and sanctimonious.
Because it makes no difference where you live. Drop them where they can walk for 15 minutes so they get to school on time and you don't have to park. It really can't be that difficult to make this work. Just need some rational thought here. Get your older kid to catch the bus. Change schools. Jeez .... But don't expect the world to change for you.
Dropping them 15 minutes away is not going to work for us. Actually it does matter what I think. The world does change for me. When my voice is combined with others voices the world does change. This is how change happens, actually. The few comfy posters on this board may not see a need for change but I do. That matters. But I see my opinion has no support here. That does not mean it is not valid.
