Core DA teams DCU and Bethesda were retained as top members, as were other MLS academies and top DAs across the country. They planned to play only U15 and U17. MLS then sought applications from other noncore clubs for expansion. 175 applied across the country. 17 were accepted. Achilles, SYC and Alexandria were among them. VDA and Arlington boys had decided to leave for ECNL so they are out this year. League is playing U13-17, with the expansion teams playing U13 and U14. [/quote]
