Anyway, at that time I was highly anxious so during a time I began sleeping with a set of the front door keys by my bedside thinking that if the main floor caught on fire and I could not get to the stairs, I could leave the house through my bedroom window and open the front door and go up the stairs to get my kids.

I also bought those rope ladders you can hang out from windows and fire extinguishers for the bedrooms upstairs (one for each). [/quote]
