I just had a baby, most of my pregnancy was during this pandemic. You're being overly sensitive and your OB was telling you the truth. We have no idea what the long term effects of this virus are on pregnancy women and babies. You don't want to be a test case. Your OB was telling you to take the threat seriously, and you should.
This.
Yes, this. We are in a pandemic, unprecedented times you need to be prepared for informed decisions to come. Your OB was being responsible and doing her job, consider how would that be if you were in a different country without a good health system. I have ours at a late age and I had a high risk pregnancy. Our OB told us about ALL the risks because he cared and we were so grateful for that. We were able to make informed decisions. At 38 weeks, my OB found a condition that didn't affect the baby's health directly but if ignored could have costed her life, there were not visible signs, none. Therefore, my OB recommended a C-section before the due date, which I didn't want, but saved her life thank goodness. We often think of my OB with great gratitude. We made right decisions and have now a beautiful, healthy and a joyful kid. Having a baby makes us so sensitive, and it is normal your are not wrong on that. Just try to keep yourself focus on what is important, the baby's safety and yours.
