I spent part of my childhood in Cali and a smaller portion on a tropical island so I am often unimpressed with any beach that is on the eastern side of the US. That said I think Rye, New York is a pretty good option. Stay away from New Jersey beaches though...they are cesspools.
To YOU. I grew up going "down the shore" If you don't like it than please stay away. I have many fond memories of spending time there!
Please don't convince people to come to NJ. I'm enjoying LBI far too much.
NJ beaches are the best, and anyone who says otherwise has not been. Does that make me CNJB (Crazy New Jersey Byotch) - because OBX be nasty.
What NJ beaches and OBX beaches are you talking about? OBX is 200 miles long. Nags Head is much different than Frisco and/or Hatteras Village. It's kind of similar to New Jersey. If one person's only exposure to NJ beaches is Atlantic City, Wildwood and/or Seaside Heights, they may not think too highly of NJ and its beaches.
Maybe. But a terrible day in Jersey is still eons better than the best OBX day.
