I would say one would have had plenty of positive and negative interactions with people of all shades, creeds, races in this region. Honest question, how can someone still have such views when the area is so diverse?
White supremacy doesn’t disappear bc you live in a diverse area. I moved here from the south a few years ago - and I’ve found that DMV folks think that they are NOT racist because they are liberal/progressive and bc the area is diverse. It’s the biggest lie. They are some of the most racist and xenophobic people I have ever met if you truly listen to the way the speak and watch the way they treat people. I think there are a lot “well meaning” racists who “don’t see color” around here.
