Had a blast at the pool today!

My wife and two kids had 1/2 of the shallow end reserved. We jumped off the side a bunch of times, threw the ball around and floated on the noodle we bought from home for a while. We also were showed my three year old how to float without floaties and practice his doggie paddle and my five year old was working on his side stroke.

It was great exercise for us all and very instructional for our kids. [/quote]

How is what PP described against orders?

That is inaccurate.  Parents can be near their kids.  At our pool, we're still at the lap-swimming-only stage; they're being conservative implementing Phase 2, which I appreciate.

I'm the PP who mentioned that at our pool families can be in contact while lap swimming.  Part of our pool's rules is that only members of the same family can be in a lane, and must be signed up in advance, so lifeguards know that families are together.  We are not, however, allowed on the pool deck, at all, except to drop our stuff before we jump in the pool.  Pools have basically been on their own to interpret the state's guidelines.  The NVSL pools have worked together to try to figure this out, but I think each pool board is issuing guidance based on their understanding of the guidelines and input from members.     [/quote]

We are with an Nvsl pool also. Read the prior post. Pools have NOT been basically on their own to interpret the guidelines. If your pool allows members of the same family to be in a lane closer than 10’ of each other, it’s a blatant and willful violation. [/quote]
