The ones who got in are not the second coming either. They are all 18 year olds and have not really "done" anything yet beyond their own tiny sphere of childhood (yes of course there are outliers) but the thing is that's OK. It's normal. It's beyond odd to exault 17 year old kids as having made it vs. Not made it in order to get into college. At a certain point it can be a lottery at selective schools. Which I've seen from the backside of admissions (only 2 years, it definitely wasn't my niche)[/quote]
