Why would people in Bethesda move to Frederick County for the schools? Especially because any boundary changes - which there might not be any anyway - won't result in big losses to property value? Would property-owners in Potomac Glen really going take a hit if they got rezoned from Wayside/Hoover/Churchill to Stone Mill/Frost/Wootton?[/quote]

We're not in Bethesda but zoned for Hoover/Churchill, within walking distance, and will 100% move if attending there is no longer an option. Urbana High School would be our target school.   [/quote]

The paranoia is unbelievable.

MCPS has no incentive to assign kids in the walk zone to schools where they'd have to ride the bus.

MCPS has prioritized keeping kids in the walk zone, in the walk zone.

MCPS did not reassign ANY kids in the walk zone, in the most recent boundary study (Clarksburg-Seneca Valley-Northwest), explicitly because the walk-zone kids were in the walk zone.

MCPS is not going to put your walk-zone kids on a bus to White Oak.
