I'm in a book club, I go to a gym (and do classes), and I volunteer on an ongoing volunteer project that is a group kind of thing. I know I could do more and I'm looking for more to do. But I've found (even with meetup groups) that people aren't always looking to make friends at these kinds of things. Of course, it could very well be that they're not interested in making friends with me. I don't know. Still trying to figure this all out![/quote]
