How is your child high risk? I didn't think any children were at high risk.
Any child with cardiac issues, with cancer or any other disease that surpasses immunity, any kid who takes drugs that have the side effect of suppressing immunity, etc.
Asthmatic children are also high risk.
I would assume this is true, just to be on the safe side, but the last data I saw showed little or no increased risk for asthmatics.
asthmatics are not any more likely to get infected than others, however complications can be more severe. plus, the data may reflect the fact that many with asthma and cystic fibrosis have been super careful from the get go because of the risks involved so they are just not exposed.
