Strange.  Just across the street is Park Van Ness, the (unusually well done) example of the density that the mayor wants to push everywhere.  Why punish them?  I guess that, unlike other developers, BF Saul hasn’t sent fat contributions the mayor’s way.[/quote]

One of the biggest problems that the Van Ness area faces is dealing with UDC.  They keep snapping up real estate but then doing nothing with it so we have those huge vacant spots.  They refuse to work with the community.  I really don't understand why they have so much clout.  I'm all for a functioning community college or real one but the amount of money that is spent on UDC for so few students boggles the mind.  [/quote]
