But I heard the waves and winds were extremely high quickly - 2 feet waves and with dusk happening around 6:30pm it would have quickly gotten frigid and impossible to navigate. Makes me wonder if the canoe didn't have a rower? She was with an 8-yr old so maybe he didn't have the strength to help her turn the canoe around in the waves.[/quote]
