Good question. We were but we aren’t anymore. I realized that we basically got married while many of our friends continued to live together and are now getting married. I guess either way works but I really loved that we were fully committed to a vision of our future lives together rather than worrying about whether we would stay together or not. I’m not religious anymore but one thing I like about religion is that it does make men step up earlier and commit and I definitely benefited from that approach. Some of my friends still have guys that they are essentially forcing to commit whereas my husband was looking for a wife in college.[/quote]
