My DD is NOT dumb and was in fact accepted into quite a few nice Northeastern schools.  DD was sick of political correctness being shoved down her throat every single day since she was in kindergarten.  She just wants to be around normal kids who aren't so f g tense all the time. What, specifically, is the issue with "political correctness?" Calling someone by their preferred name? Being extra thoughtful about the words you use? I feel like "political correctness" is just a new term for being courteous and having using proper etiquette as it evolves.
