I posted nearly immediately that I thought OP sounded awful, and I am not this person. But I think this person nails it.

My dearest friend is on the front lines of this. She is out there working herself to exhaustion in a hot spot public hospital and I am desperately worried for her and her kids. Meanwhile, you have people like OP (and others on this thread) who come across as totally self-absorbed and shallow. It's a glaring difference to me. I mean, "really looking forward to this"? Who on Earth thinks this way? It's awful.[/quote]
