Actually you are mostly right, but being invited to NTCs is a good resume builder for colleges. That's the only reason most of us *should* show any interest in participating. Yep, my kid is not YNT bound. But having gone many times over the years looks good as an "achievement" , the way being on ODP used to in the past.
What weighs more the NTC invitation or the kid’s GPA?
NTC
Probably not where my kid will go.
No problem. There's plenty of soccer programs and levels to play up. This is more for kids wanting to upper section of D1, like the 50 or so-ish programs. If it's a middle of the road or bottom level D1 program, any decent ECNL or DA player should be fine.
Bless your silly ol’heart. You’re one big mixed bag of confusion. NTCs are for little girls. Some who haven’t even hit puberty. It’s over a year after most hit puberty (15). You really think that the goofy local coaches can pick the winners/losers who will go on to the top 50 schools? Here’s what I know for a fact 1. I know girls that went to one NTC and were never invited back 2. I know girls that went to multiple NTCs and at 16 quit the sport 3. I know girls that went to multiple NTCs and by 16 were part time players on DA teams behind girls that were never invited 4. I know girls that went to multiple NTCs and at 16 were bench players at local ECNL and sitting behind girls that never went. 5. I know girls that went to multiple NTCs and weren’t the best player on their team 6. I know girls that went to multiple NTCs because of connections and not performance Experience is the best teacher. One day you’ll get some. Hang in there kiddo
