2 beers at 15 is ok
It's actually not. You don't get to pick and choose what is legal. If you want your children to respect and follow the law, you have to respect and follow the law.
100 Percent agree.
Except it’s legal for your team to drink two beers in your house
There are 8 states that allow this. It does not allow for someone else to provide alcohol at their house. So, a parent who provides alcohol to underage kids at a party, get together or beach week can be citied. Will they get in that much trouble, not in MD as mostly they get off with a small fine. Unfortunately, that's when someone dies at the hands of a drunk driver. That said, the law is 21 so explain to your teen why they have to follow other laws but not that one??? This is should be a no brainer. Oh wait, none of the bad stuff will ever happen to my kid. My kid won't drive drunk that one time. My kid won't get alcohol poisoning. My kid .......
Where does it say an op’s npost is it OK to serve two beers to someone else’s kid? It doesn’t the question is would you freak out if your kid had two beers, would you be OK with it, would you not be OK with it but you would react calmly. I love how all your responses are that this kid is now going to get in a car drive and crash into somebody a 15-year-old doesn’t even have a license. Nobody is saying it’s OK to drink and drive ...someone asked would it be OK if your kid drank two beers. Also the response is no I wouldn’t be OK with it but I also wouldn’t freak out.
While I would not freak out either over two beers. How does she know it was only two beers? What should be the consequence none? How do you know next time it won't be four of six beers? You don't. Nor do you know if that 15 year old is turning 16 soon and hence driving next year. If they drank at 15 you think they won't at 16 or 17??? HAHAHA good luck with that. That all said, again it's illegal and I'm tired of parents saying it's a rite of passage for high school and that they are so so sorry someone else lost a child. While that may seem extreme to you it really isn't. In a perfect world we would all like it if our kids drank responsibly but in reality not going to happen so how do we as a society deal with this? We created these laws for a reason. D
No. The state does not create laws so that I can parent my children. As a matter of fact there’s a whole bunch of things that are legal to do that I don’t want my children to do there is probably some illegal things that I do let them do like 64 in a 55. Well if your child doesn’t drink any beers how do you know it wasn’t two beers how do you know your child isn’t drinking four beers. You could be totally against drinking which means your kid lies to you, possibly. We could go on forever with what ifs but the question at hand is if I knuwbmy 15-year-old drank two beers would I be OK with it the answer is no but I wouldn’t freak out.
