FCPS has a whole school dedicated to STEM but they couldn't field even 1member of USAMO, just one.

Ok! I'm scratching my head here. What does that have to do with MCPS?  They are in Maryland. 
FCPS having a lot in the top 10 means that they are good in VIRGINIA only, no competition there and the state of schools in Virginia.

Not really.

I know that you guys want to tout the whole stem thing, but the OP and PP have only ever talked about overall standings. You guys can take all the STEM awards you want: FDA, USDA, NIST, NASA are all nearby. That makes sense.

But it doesn’t make your schools any better than FCPS. We outnumber you in the national rankings period. And I assume that you think STEM is the only thing but does mean that your national rankings are any better. Which is the whole question about the original poster.

And you can keep you version of stem. We will keep the tech jobs, TJ and the lower property taxes and lowers FARMs. Thanks. [/quote]
