There is a huge difference between divorced fathers and men that abandon their kids. Remember when being a single mother was a source of shame, not pride? If a couple gets divorced, but the father stays involved, it can be ok, but even then, you both failed, so do not be surprised when your kid fails too.[/quote]

I guess just red flag them all? PP seems to think that anyone who isn't living with a father should be considered a risk.

I'm just saying if it's true then we should make sure to take away the guns from people who grew up in broken families. Obviously that is a severe risk factor. I care about 17 month olds not being shot in the face - I'm hoping you do too.[/quote]

Yes, we're on the same page.  Although I don't think broken families are the primary problem, if not enough people are willing to enforce stricter gun control, then taking guns away from people who grew up in broken families is a better alternative than doing nothing.  The 2A apologists should be fine with that.[/quote]
