I just read this thread and am very impressed with your success. Just wanted to say that I changed my eating habits starting mid-June of this summer and have lost about 12 lbs so far. All I did was limit my calories to 1500(ish) a day and eat a LOT more fruit. I like some vegetables but not that much. I did usually have a salad everyday and also some cooked vegetables several times a week. But typically I bought a pineapple, a cantaloupe, 1/4 of a watermelon, grapes, cherries, peaches each week and ate them all week. I snack on fruit whenever I get hungry and it prevents me from eating other stuff that is more high calorie and not so good for me. Otherwise I basically eat what I want, including some non-dietetic meals, but more or less I try to stick with healthy meals. Some people here have said your high fruit diet is potentially bad for you and might even simulate diabetes. I have lab results from physicals going back years and my results after being on this eating plan for over a month is the best lab results in years. Typically my glucose was around 100, sometimes as high as 117 and never lower than 96...until now, when it was 76! So eating a lot of fruit has not caused me to have high blood sugar, the opposite. My cholesterol results are also better than they have ever been, total cholesterol 126! BTW, I am a woman in my 60s and have achieved this weight loss without adding any exercise, I am minimally active compared to what Jeff describes! Keep up the good work Jeff and if you are so inclined give us an update, it's been over a year now and I'm very interested in how it's gone with maintenance.
