[/quote] Even a student that got maximum Pell grants would only have a small percentage of costs covered; and Illinois MAP only covers tuition and not cost of living. So this is all pretty much a red herring when it comes to student who ACTUALLY need support to attend college. They're going to end up in significant debt either way. The answer is for states to better fund higher ed, not to chip away at the margins. [/quote]
